Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, August 21, 2026

The 2027 Healthcare Project Delivery Conference is now accepting abstracts! This year’s theme, Built for Care: Delivering the Next Generation of Healthcare Infrastructure focuses on how healthcare leaders and partners are working efficiently and effectively to align capital strategy with innovative project delivery to meet rising demand, financial constraints, and the evolving needs of patient-centered care.

We invite submissions from hospital and health system executives, academic medical institutions, developers, design and construction professionals, investors, and advisors. The program will showcase capital projects and forward-looking delivery models that reflect today’s most pressing infrastructure needs, innovative strategies, and real-world constraints.

Suggested Topics Include:

  • Project Case Studies: Facilities that demonstrate new approaches to delivery, financing, or partnership (including P3s, IPD, Lean, or hybrids)
  • Regulatory and Compliance: Navigating evolving regulations and their impact on cost, schedule, and delivery approaches
  • Designing for Flexibility: Adaptable spaces that support multiple service lines and evolving care models
  • Modular and Prefabricated Construction: Cost and time benefits, implementation best practices
  • Technology and Smart Infrastructure: Digital twin modeling, artificial intelligence in design-build, and tech-enabled delivery for patient-centered care
  • Financing and Capital Planning: Creative structures to unlock investment and manage risk
  • Sustainability and Resiliency: Seismic upgrades, retrofits, strategies to future-proof healthcare infrastructure, manage energy demand, and reduce carbon footprint

Submission Guidelines
Abstracts should include a 200-word synopsis and include the types of envisioned panelists (e.g., hospital/healthcare owner, architects, engineers, financiers, etc.).
